Recruitment company attributes success to a booming Townsville region

Kelly Services’ Townsville Branch has worked its way into the top five performing Kelly Branches in Australia, attributing its success to a growing Townsville region.

Global recruitment company, Kelly Services, operates 20 offices throughout Australia including Townsville.

Townsville Branch Manager, Kathy Wilson, said, “We have experienced a huge amount of growth with the addition of new staff, a strong client and candidate base as well as a push from the accelerating job market in Townsville”.  

Ms. Wilson said that the job market in Townsville is booming with the growth in population and the depth of new and existing businesses, services and infrastructure in the area.

  “The Townsville region is growing at a rapid pace and we are pleased to be contributing to the local economy and community by providing the best candidates and job opportunities.

“Townsville’s jobs growth is being driven by established industries such as resources and tourism, but Kelly Services is also witnessing strong growth in areas including industrial, telecommunications, government and corporate services.

“Townsville’s robust local economy and established educational facilities including James Cook University and TAFE provide the foundation for ongoing career opportunities.” 

Ms. Wilson said she hopes to continue the growth in 2007, with plans to move into a new larger premise in the Flinders Mall in April.

The Townsville Kelly Services branch has been operating since 2000. The branch and its staff contribute to the community through various projects including a recent partnership with James Cook University to provide an internship program to human resource students.
