Recruitment Solution for Logistics Giant Linfox | Kelly Services Australia
Kelly to Drive Unique Recruitment Solution for Logistics Giant Linfox
14 February 2011
Kelly Services, a world leading provider of recruitment and workforce solutions, will partner with Linfox Australia over the coming 12 months to review and streamline the logistics giant's blue collar recruitment strategy.
Kelly won the competitive tender process by providing an innovative solution that includes specialists from Kelly being seconded into the Linfox HR team and "building the solution from the inside".
Paul Chiswick, National Sales Director, Kelly Australia said "This unique solution will be fully implemented within 12 months during which time Kelly will provide the knowledge, professional support and consultancy required to build a best-in-market blue collar recruitment process focused on making high quality permanent hires as well as developing a pipeline of talent into the Linfox business."
Prior to Kelly's appointment, Linfox's method of recruitment was not dissimilar from the method applied across its industry; labour is introduced through recruitment agencies and later, 'converted' onto company payroll. Linfox recognised this as a deficiency in it's recruitment strategy and was determined to take the opportunity to differentiate its desired recruitment strategy from others in the field.
"This is a great example of a client driven solution, it's not a RPO project and it's not a master vender solution. Linfox knew they required more than an off the shelf recruitment product if they were to achieve their goals of reducing costs and improving hire quality. We believe at the end of 12 months Linfox will be in a position to do both" Mr Chiswick said.
Laurie D'Apice Vice President Human Resources & Industrial Relations with Linfox Logistics Asia Pacific said Linfox was "Delighted to be progressing this key Linfox initiative with Kelly".
"Having been personally involved in the negotiating and development of this partnership I have a great level of comfort and confidence that the finished product will differentiate both our organisations and provide Linfox with a competitive advantage when it comes attracting the best blue collar talent for many years ahead."
The partnership was officially signed and commenced on 19th January 2011.
